It’s been a little over two months since we all gathered in Casper and Denver to celebrate our beloved corps 60th anniversary. I’ve had some time to personally reflect on that celebration and what I remember most are the smiles, the hugs, the laughter, the introductions, the handshakes, the bridging of generations and the coming together of the Troopers family. What a grand celebration it was! I hope you all enjoyed that experience as much as I did.
So, now what do we do?
We look ahead and build for the future.
And it starts now.
I am proud and very excited to formally announce that we are working to form an alumni corps for the purpose of celebrating the corps 65th anniversary in 2023. There are many steps involved and much coordination to be done, but we’re underway. I will be leading the effort to bring an alumni corps to the field and will work in close concert with the Troopers Board, the administration as well as the Troopers Alumni Association leadership.
Why start all this so early? Well, because we want to do it right. We want to make sure we have maximum participation and we want to be able to provide a treasured, once-in-a-lifetime experience for all who participate. We have a lot to plan for – we have many tasks to accomplish.
Do you want to be a part of it? I sure hope you do! All who wish to participate are welcome.
Read the FAQ’s and then fill out the Participation Survey on the Troopers Alumni website. The organizers will be in touch with updates, news, information and more as plans come together. The Troopers Alumni website will be the official source of news and information about this project. Make sure to check in often!
